Hey what’s up? Good?? Great!
I won’t lie to you, I’m already missing my summer glow. So even though its slightly colder and of course much greyer outside I’ve still been hamming on the bronzer L’Oréal Glam Bronze La Terra to be exact. #Guilty #typicalbritishweather
Anywho I’m so excited to review this product for you, if you were a fan of last year’s Laura Mercier limited edition highlighter palette you’ll probably know they’ve recently released the follow to last year’s palette.
2016 – 2017
I actually never got my hands on last year’s one as it was super popular and it sold out faster than I expected but to be honest I just couldn’t make my mind up as too if I really wanted it. Looking back now I probably would have liked last year’s palette more as the shades were more warm toned. However, I reckon this palette will be a go to for a lot of you lovely medium/deeper skin toned ladies out here.

As you can see this palette comes with four lovely shades
I’m sure you can tell from the swatches most of the shade are pretty much too dark for me to use as a highlight but I have been able to use the first shade which is a beautiful peachy/golden shade and I have been liking it but prefer it for my eyes. However I did pick up two, of this highlighter palette obvs one was for me and the other for my younger sister because I’m too nice. Since she has a slightly deeper skin tone this palette has worked considerably better on her.
This palette is without a doubt pigmented, the texture is soft and creamy, its also easy to blend allowing you to build the intensity to your preference. However, there is fall out with most of the shades this is probably not an issue for most as its only highlighter but the shades do have a slight hint of glitter to them. In terms of price it is definitely better value than purchasing the individuals.
But in all honesty, would I go and pick this palette up again? Probably not. Although I was able to use the shades for my eyes as a highlighter palette I was not really able to enjoy it simply down to the shades but I definietly feel like this palette would be better suited to anyone with more of a tanned/ medium – deeper skin tone than me.
Do let me know what you think of this palette and whether you’ll be picking it up.
