Hey hun’s as you can tell by the title this post is all about the makeup I wore on Eid al-Adha 2017 which took place on the 1st of September. If you aren’t familiar with this festival, it’s the second of two Muslim holidays that are celebrated around the world each year. This celebration comes after the Hajj (an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, the holy city in a desert valley in Saudi Arabia). No Eid is complete without taking tones of selfies and visiting friends and family.
Anywho, it’s one of my favorite festivals of the year so of course I made an effort and I absolutely loved how my makeup looked on the day. It lasted all day long, even though I was testing out some new products for the first time which I don’t usually do on special occasions to avoid any disasters. I can honestly say it was worth taking the risk because I loved the products I used.
For primer I used the Mac PREP + PRIME MOISTURE INFUSION which is a lightweight serum that saturates the skin with a concentrated boost of hydration. As well as a few drops of the Nyx Born to glow illuminating primer this adds a beautiful glow to the skin.
For foundation I used two drops of the Charlotte tilbury Light Wonder foundation and then used the Colourpop No Filter concealer all over my face and Oh My DAYSS GIRLS! I can’t explain how much I loved this combo not only did it feel lightweight but it also gave me amazing coverage. Despite it being super warm plus the added heat of wearing a saree it lasted all day without cracking. I also used the no filter concealer under my eyes in a lighter shade.
Brows: Anastasia beverly hills brow pomade in Medium brown
Eyes: Colourpop Yes please palette, Yes girls this has to be one of my current favourite palettes all the shadows are super easy to blend, highly pigmented and long-lasting I am definitely a fan! I’m also wearing the La colours liquid eyeliner.
Highlight: Since its a special occasion I had to bring out my ultimate favourite highlighter palette of all time. The Anastasia beverly hills glow kit I lightly swirled my brush through all four shades to give me a beautiful golden glow.
Lashes: violet voss lashes in all the wispy ladies.
Contour: The balm cosmetic bronzer in Bahama Mama
I also wore some fresh go coloured lenses in Verde and to top it all off I added a bind & some rhinestones.
Heres some close ups
